Opening Weekend
Friday March 6th - 7 pm - 11 pm
Sunday March 8th - 10 am - 2 pm
MORTAL SPOILS is a solo exhibition that explores life and death as a continuous, interconnected force.
Kit O’Shea will be showcasing her latest drawings, paintings, and sculptural works inspired by decay, defeat, and defiance. By both subject and structure, the works are connected through fungi, which act as mediators between life and death, dismantling and dissolving biological bodies for redistribution to new life.
If death is not a rupture, but a return to collective matter, the exhibition asks whether the certainty of death quells the uncertainties of life, particularly in a world shaped by ecological instability and loss.
