About the event
Picture books offer children a way to express how they see the world—and adults a way to look within.
Curated by artist Mia-Lu, this exhibition brings together original picture books created by children and adults under her artistic guidance. Drawing on her creative practice and teaching experience in France, Mia-Lu shares an approach to picture book creation that nurtures imagination, observation and personal expression.
Through the “Global Original Picture Book Exchange Initiative,” the exhibition presents works by children living in China, France, Germany, the United States and beyond. Filled with playfulness and imagination, these picture books offer glimpses into childhood across different cultural settings.
Alongside the children’s works are picture books by adult creators from diverse walks of life. Their drawings and stories explore personal memories, emotions and everyday experiences, showing that picture book creation is open to everyone, regardless of age or artistic background.
We invite you to step into this world of pictures and stories—to discover the people behind them, and perhaps something of yourself.
